Our Story

Balay Nga Dako

Balay Dako — "the big house" — has stood in this community for generations. Built in the tradition of Filipino ancestral homes, the Hechanova house carries the character of an era when homes were made to gather families together under one roof.

Today, we open its doors to guests who appreciate that kind of character — the warmth of aged wood, the quiet of thick walls, the feeling of stepping into a place that has seen a hundred celebrations.

When you book Balay Dako, you're not renting a venue. You're stepping into a family home — and for the duration of your stay, it becomes yours.

The ground floor event space comfortably fits 50 guests and can accommodate a maximum of 80 for larger gatherings.
Up to 16 overnight guests across 8 rooms — 4 air-conditioned and 4 fan rooms. The Deluxe package includes 4 AC rooms; the Grand package includes all 8 rooms. Need a custom count? Just ask.
Yes. There is a prep area available for your caterer. Bring any food or catering service you prefer.
All packages include full venue access, parking, and prep area for caterers. Classic is venue only. Deluxe adds 4 AC rooms overnight. Grand adds all 8 rooms (4 AC, 4 fan). Overnight rooms include linens, towels, and private bathrooms. No hidden fees.
Birthdays, baptismals, weddings, family reunions, Christmas parties, team building, bridal showers — if you can celebrate it, Balay Dako can host it.
Yes — 3 cars can park inside the property. Additional street parking is available for larger groups.

Full deposit refund for cancellations made 14+ days before check-in. 50% refund for 7-13 days notice. Less than 7 days, the deposit is non-refundable. We try to be flexible — message us if circumstances change.
